Sugarloaf Mountian

If you live in the DC/Baltimore area, Sugarloaf Mountian is the defacto go-to spot for day hiking. This unique mountain is isolated, it is miles from the blue ridge and sits by alone, a lonely mountain out in farm land. Given it's isolation, you can get some amazing unobstructed views from different vantage points. I recommend driving to the west parking lot, which is near the summit. From there, you can hike the green trail the remaining way to the peak, and then follow the red trail over to the north side of the mountain where it hits the blue trail. From there, you can go to the White Rocks which provides a fantastic view.
